The word for war is used in the Bible many times. However, do you know what each definition means? This sermon will discuss the usage of the word war and will explain in detail the definitions in Revelation Chapter 13.
Revelation 13:1-9
And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.
2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.
3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.
4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?
5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.
6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.
7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.
8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
9 If any man have an ear, let him hear.
Let us now look at the word for war. As this passage uses it differently.
Revelation 13:4
4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?
dragon-G1404-δράκωνdrákōn, drak'-own; probably from an alternate form of δέρκομαι dérkomai (to look); a fabulous kind of serpent (perhaps as supposed to fascinate):—dragon.
Biblical Outline of Usage of G4104
a dragon, a great serpent, a name for Satan
Beast -G2342-θηρίονthēríon, thay-ree'-on; diminutive from the same as G2339; a dangerous animal:—(venomous, wild) beast.
Biblical Outline of Usage of G2342
an animal
a wild animal, wild beast, beast
metaph. a brutal, bestial man, savage, ferocious
Since it says from we look at G2339
G2339-θήραthḗra, thay'-rah; from θήρ thḗr (a wild animal, as game); hunting, i.e. (figuratively) destruction:—trap.
Biblical Outline of usage of G2339
a hunting of wild beasts to destroy them
metaph. of preparing destruction for men
Understanding the vision John saw was metaphorical in meaning.
A Metaphor Means
a figure of speech in which a word or phrase literally denoting one kind of object or idea is used in place of another to suggest a likeness or analogy between them (as in drowning in money)
The Bible is full of metaphors when it comes to Bible Prophecy. So, in order to understand the visions Abba Yahuah gave to all the Seers/Prophets you must understand the figure of speech used or the visions/dreams given. When I dream and I remember them, it's so I can interpret them with Abba Yah so I know what He is saying. For example, I saw storm troopers coming after me. This was actually a warning that the FBI or whatever government agency wanting me dead or alive was trying find me and my daughter. This dream was then confirmed while watching Tucker Carlson Tonight who talked about people of Faith Being Arrested. Yes, Brothers and Sisters you are at war and you didn't even know it.
Now we move on to the word war used in Revelation 13:4
War-G4170-πολεμέωpoleméō, pol-em-eh'-o; from G4171; to be (engaged) in warfare, i.e. to battle (literally or figuratively):—fight, (make) war.
Since it says from G4147 we will look at this word closer as it is the word used in verse 7. The base words always give us a better definition of the meaning to derivative words, or words that stem from another also known as the base or root word.
Revelation 13:7
7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations
war-G4171-πόλεμοςpólemos, pol'-em-os; from πέλομαι pélomai (to bustle); warfare (literally or figuratively; a single encounter or a series):—battle, fight, war.
The Biblical Outline of Usage of G4171
a war
a fight, a battle
a dispute, strife, quarrel
To understand this verse we must look at the definition of to bustle and then break that down into proper meaning.
Bustle means:
to move briskly and often ostentatiously
to be busily astir
noisy, energetic, and often obtrusive activity
Ostentatiously means:
attracting or seeking to attract attention, admiration, or envy often by gaudiness or obviousness : overly elaborate or conspicuous : characterized by, fond of, or evincing ostentation
Gaudiness means
ostentatiously or tastelessly ornamented
marked by extravagance or sometimes tasteless showiness: Outlandish
Gaudiness is what AOC did in that dress that said Tax the Rich.
Obtrusive activity means
undesirably prominent
Meaning unwanted behavior, actions and so on that we are experiencing today. You are at war with gadree/satan- Ephesians 6:12 via this world and you are unaware and possibly in denial.
What Does War Mean? Types of Warfare.
war, in the popular sense, a conflict between political groups involving hostilities of considerable duration and magnitude.
The analysis of war may be divided into several categories. Philosophical, political, economic, technological, legal, sociological, and psychological approaches are frequently distinguished.
Knowing your enemy is key to the end times. Romans Chapter 7 needs to be read with Revelation Chapter 13. Let us look at the definition of waring.
Romans 7:23
23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
Waring Against is a word phrase- G497-ἀντιστρατεύομαιantistrateúomai, an-tee-strat-yoo'-om-ahee; from G473 and G4754; (figuratively) to attack, i.e. (by implication) destroy:—war against.
The war going on against gadreel/satan is one against the mind. For as the Saying Goes by Jim Morrison- "Whoever Controls the Media Controls the Mind."
This is why Yahusha stated there will be wars and rumor of wars.
Matthew 24:6
And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
The word of wars in this passage of Matthew is the same as the verse in Revelation 13:7, G4171.
Now I pray you understand what is taking place Right before Your Very Eyes.
