Attitudes of Yah: Becoming Free...How Do We Allow Abba Yah to set us Free?

Cynthia Heald is one of my favorite authors. She writes many books for women teaching them how to be a more Godly person. You don't have to be a woman to read her books for they work in

All lives who take the time to get to learn themselves and The Most High. I will provide a link to her books at the end of the post. I found used ones on Amazon and have a link to Ebay where it is only $3.95. She has many books on very important topics. Two other books I have of hers are Walking Together, which is a book for couples who want to learn to walk with God together. Then there is Intimacy with God, which focuses on our relationship and bond with Abba Yah. Cynthia Heald was recommend to me by my faith based counselor during the time I first learned my daughter needed to be hospitalized.

Today's book will have us working out of Becoming a Woman of Freedom.

Hebrews 12:1 ESV

Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,

How can we run a race we don't even understand? How can we see what The Most High has for us if we are constantly clinging to our sin? The Answer is; We Cannot.

"Man's perennial efforts to take himself in hand, however he attempts it, lead to the greatest bondage in which man misses what he was meant to be." -J.Blunck (Theologist)

In literature and in Scripture, Life is depicted as a race. All of us begin the race with a Handicap- Inherited sin. This nature is thus Redeemed by the death and Resurrection of Yahusha.

We are free In The Messiah, but we must be aware of living life with baggage from the past that we need to let go and let God.

-a person or thing that interferes with or slows the progress of someone or something : impediment a hindrance to learning.

When we understand the definitions of words we can put into perspective the things that we need to change in our lives to set us free. Maybe that is a job that stresses you out, or a relationship that no longer works. Or the lack of Faith you have in yourself to be the best person you can be in this life. No matter what obstacle you face, certain things are not Healthy in a relationship with The Lord God Almighty.

In his letter to the Romans, Paul writes about the death of our old life and the Gift of being Resurrected from the Dead in Christ.

Romans 6:1-14 ESV

Dead to Sin, Alive to God

6 What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound? 2 By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it? 3 Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? 4 We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.

5 For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his. 6 We know that our old self[a] was crucified with him in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin. 7 For one who has died has been set free[b] from sin. 8 Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. 9 We know that Christ, being raised from the dead, will never die again; death no longer has dominion over him. 10 For the death he died he died to sin, once for all, but the life he lives he lives to God. 11 So you also must consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus.

12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, to make you obey its passions. 13 Do not present your members to sin as instruments for unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life, and your members to God as instruments for righteousness. 14 For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace.

Grace in Hebrew means Divine Intervention! (see my post on Grace and what it really is)

After reading Romans please take time to answer these questions.

How is our freedom accomplished?

What Choices are now ours?

What Hindrances do you struggle with that keeps you from experiencing freedom in Christ?

Next we need to examine what is God's part as He has Delivered us from Sin and Death and what are our roles as we try to become Free from Sin and this world. For this we turn to Romans 6:15-23.

Romans 6:15-23 ESV

Slaves to Righteousness

15 What then? Are we to sin because we are not under law but under grace? By no means! 16 Do you not know that if you present yourselves to anyone as obedient slaves,[c] you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of sin, which leads to death, or of obedience, which leads to righteousness? 17 But thanks be to God, that you who were once slaves of sin have become obedient from the heart to the standard of teaching to which you were committed, 18 and, having been set free from sin, have become slaves of righteousness. 19 I am speaking in human terms, because of your natural limitations. For just as you once presented your members as slaves to impurity and to lawlessness leading to more lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves to righteousness leading to sanctification.

20 For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness. 21 But what fruit were you getting at that time from the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death. 22 But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the fruit you get leads to sanctification and its end, eternal life. 23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Once we fix our eyes on Jesus/Yahusha, we begin to understand that despite the hindrances and idolatry and lack of faith that He encountered in His mortal form on earth...Nothing Stopped Him and He Accomplished Abba Yah's Will. We see this when Jesus tells us the Truth shall Set You Free

John 8:31-38

The Truth Will Set You Free

31 So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, 32 and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” 33 They answered him, “We are offspring of Abraham and have never been enslaved to anyone. How is it that you say, ‘You will become free’?”

34 Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who practices sin is a slave[b] to sin. 35 The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son remains forever. 36 So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. 37 I know that you are offspring of Abraham; yet you seek to kill me because my word finds no place in you. 38 I speak of what I have seen with my Father, and you do what you have heard from your father.”

A brief Testimony:

I chose to redo this study for myself last night when I was struggling with my understanding of events that are taking place in my life. I just quit my dream job because of what I saw regarding patient care and how other staff were being treated. ( Please check out my post on Hospitals for more descriptive events on that). On a license plate read Due 434.

I immediately Heard God say read Deuteronomy 4:34. So I did. This was in the afternoon when I was DoorDashing. When I got done with my delivery I opened my Bible App and read:

Deuteronomy 4:30-40 ESV

30 When you are in tribulation, and all these things come upon you in the latter days, you will return to the Lord your God and obey his voice. 31 For the Lord your God is a merciful God. He will not leave you or destroy you or forget the covenant with your fathers that he swore to them.

The Lord Alone Is God

32 “For ask now of the days that are past, which were before you, since the day that God created man on the earth, and ask from one end of heaven to the other, whether such a great thing as this has ever happened or was ever heard of. 33 Did any people ever hear the voice of a god speaking out of the midst of the fire, as you have heard, and still live? 34 Or has any god ever attempted to go and take a nation for himself from the midst of another nation, by trials, by signs, by wonders, and by war, by a mighty hand and an outstretched arm, and by great deeds of terror, all of which the Lord your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes? 35 To you it was shown, that you might know that the Lord is God; there is no other besides him. 36 Out of heaven he let you hear his voice, that he might discipline you. And on earth he let you see his great fire, and you heard his words out of the midst of the fire. 37 And because he loved your fathers and chose their offspring after them[c] and brought you out of Egypt with his own presence, by his great power, 38 driving out before you nations greater and mightier than you, to bring you in, to give you their land for an inheritance, as it is this day, 39 know therefore today, and lay it to your heart, that the Lord is God in heaven above and on the earth beneath; there is no other. 40 Therefore you shall keep his statutes and his commandments, which I command you today, that it may go well with you and with your children after you, and that you may prolong your days in the land that the Lord your God is giving you for all time.”

We Are No Longer in the Wilderness nor are we in Egypt. Our Minds need to reflect that so that we can be free. The Lord God States that He Chose the OFFSPRING of our forefathers!!! That offspring is Us. Therefore we need to Keep the understanding that He has Promised us Great Things and Abundance when we are One with Him.
